In Mexico, Mother’s Day is a really serious business. It is always celebrated on May 10th, regardless of the day of the week, and it is the busiest day of the year for restaurants. It is estimated that more than 200,000 extra waiters come to help out. Flowers are absolutely essential, as well as a family meal, accompanied by groups of Mariachis and a few glasses of tequila are optional to continue the festivities.

Go for a walk with mom in Cancun one afternoon, and show her around our beautiful luxury shopping malls there’s something for everyone, then tell her she can choose the gift of her choice.
A serenade
One evening, take a walk to the hotel area of Cancun and hire a trio of musicians to sing one or two Mother’s Day tunes. Tell her to prepare her prettiest outfit because it’s time to shine. She’s the star of the evening.
