Holiday time is approaching…it’s time to choose your dream destination, this time it will be Cancun! These paradisiacal beaches with white sand and turquoise water accompanied by numerous palm trees. We bet you are already looking forward to it, aren’t you? But, before flying to paradise, there are a few administrative formalities to know if you are coming from The United States.

Valid Passport

Valid passport for the duration of your stay. If you are traveling with children, please know that from now on, minors, whatever their age, must also have an individual passport.

If your trip to Mexico involves crossing the U.S. border by land, you will be required, even for an excursion, to fill out an I94W form, issued by immigration authorities upon arrival, pay a fee of approximately $6 (payable in U.S. dollars only) and present your passport.

Attention! Travelers staying in the State of Quintana Roo (Cancun, Playa del Carmen) should always carry their (original) passport and proof that they are staying in the country as tourists with them: inspections are frequent and those who cannot present the required documents may be subject to coercive measures.
