The name of El Rey was granted because of a pair of English travelers; Channing Arnold and Frederick Frost found a sculpture that seemed to be of some monarch or nobleman. This site has 47 structures that fulfilled religious functions. Inside there are paintings associated with the ancient Mayan rituals. Visit it from Monday to Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
